Well, it’s been a month again, so suppose it’s time to post?!?!
As I’m sure you all know, hot, dry weather in many parts of the country is causing all kinds of problems for producers. Between that and a generally warm, early spring, insect populations have exploded, and pest problems are worse than in many years.
I received a couple of photos from Rocky Lemus, Extension Forage Specialist at Mississippi State University this past week that I wanted to share…he said the grasshopper and snail populations have really spike in pastures around the state because of the drought. Scary to think the damage they could cause!
